   The Parrot Species we keep, whose offspring, if any, we may sell.

Categories as listed in Queensland's Nature Conservation Act and Australian Government legislation.

NATIVE / AUSTRALIAN SPECIES: 

EXEMPT: No Licence is required to acquire and keep these species in Queensland. NOTE that you must have proof of where you acquired native birds whether or not they need a licence and a Movement Advice to keep or trade.

 

Cockatiels Nymphicus hollandicus, native/ Australia-wide. Normal.

Princess Parrots Polytelis alexandrae, Australian native, inland drier areas of Eastern states. Normal, blue and split blue.

 

Rainbow Lorikeets Trichoglossus haematodus mollucanus, Australian native. Pied, grey (erroneously 'grey-green') pied.

Musk Lorikeets Glossopsitta concinna, Australian native. Normal.

Scaly-breasted Lorikeets Trichoglossus chlorolepidotus, Australian native - normal, cinnamon, lutino, grey-green, cinnamon/greygreen (mustard).

EXOTIC SPECIES: No licence is required to keep these species in Australia, although some species are not allowed to be kept in Western Australia or Tasmania. Proof of ownership and provenance should be kept.

Peachfaced Lovebirds Agapornis roseicollis, Africa - normal, and various colour mutations. We do not keep any other Agapornis species. 

Alexandrine Parrots Psittacula eupatria, India, Andhra Pradesh and Sri Lanka; normal.

 

Dusky Lories Pseudos fuscata, New Guinea. Orange phase (often referred to as red phase).

 

Green-cheeked Conures Pyrrhura molinae, South America. Pineapple, normal split pineapple.

 

Monk (Quaker) Parrots Myiopsitta monachus, SE Brazil, Uruguay and NE Argentina. Blue, white.

 

Sun Conures Aratinga solstitialis, NE Brazil in Roraima, Guyana and SE Venezuela. Normal, and pied (more yellow on wings and back).
